Trigger Inc. (株式会社トリガー, Kabushiki kaisha Torigā) is a Japanese animation studio founded in August 2011. Trigger was established on August 22, 2011 by Hiroyuki Imaishi and Masahiko Ohtsuka shortly after leaving Gainax and as of now, Trigger is a member studio of Joint venture animation studio company Ultra Super Pictures alongside Sanzigen, Liden Films and Ordet.

Since 2012, Trigger kickstarted their works with the ONA, Inferno Cop and the opening sequence of Project X Zone (hence both directed by key animator Akira Amemiya) and releasing a new short film for Anime Mirai 2012, Little Witch Academia (created by Yoh Yoshinari and Trigger itself). Currently, they are developing on its first original animated series, Kill la Kill, for MBS. (made by the studio and the duo, Hiroyuki Imaishi and Kazuki Nakashima)

Trigger is part of the Harmony Unleashed Production Committee to produce Harmony Unleashed: Human Ponidox Continuum Shift (mainly produced by Sunrise and collaborated with and Studio 4˚C and Trigger itself.) as well as its NeoWave sequel series (now produced also by Production I.G instead of Studio 4˚C). The studio made its first American debut when they collaborate with Titmouse for the animated adaptation of the Anthro Bunraku series as well as its film series (except Aegis Resort, which it was an anime film with animation collaboration from Liden Films), the crossover with Equestria Girls, a planned sequel series part of its media franchise and a spin-off based on the Equestria Girls Universe also collaborated with Production I.G.
