Paramount Pictures Corporation (commonly known as Paramount Pictures or simply Paramount) is a film and television production/distribution studio, consistently ranked as one of the largest (top-grossing) film studios. A subsidiary of U.S. media conglomerate Viacom, Paramount is a member of the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA). As of 2012, it became one of the oldest film studios next to Twentieth Century Fox, Universal Pictures and Gaumont as the studio has been on for more than 100 years.

The studio is well known for the classic Live-action Popeye film, the Transformers film series, Star Trek, Mission: Impossible, Friday the 13th, and Paranormal Activity. As well as former franchises like, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (which it's now by Disney after they bought Marvel) and some of Dreamworks Animation's film franchises like Kung Fu Panda, How to Train Your Dragon, Madagascar & Shrek. (Which now Fox distibutes DWA's films since 2013) And they also release films from Nickelodeon Movies, Paramount Vantage, MTV Films, Paramount Famous Entertainment, Paramount Digital Entertainment and internationally from United International Pictures.

Paramount is the only studio to release films from the comic book series' animation: Harmony Unleashed: Anthro Bunraku since the G.I. Joe films and the Transformers films are distributed by Paramount itself. And with the partnership of Lionsgate and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer as Studio 3 Partners, they will distribute the Rainbow Dawn anime film.
