Harmony Unleashed: Sigma - The Animation (ハーモニー アンリーシュド： シグマ THE ANIMATION, Hāmonī anrīshudo: Shiguma Ji Animēshon) is a 2015 Japanese-American anime television series adapted from the graphic novel series of the same name written by Aaron Montalvo and illustrated by Svetlana Chmakova, based on characters from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic by Lauren Faust, its genderbended counterpart by Trotsworth and Equestria Girls by Meghan McCarthy. The series is directed by Keiichiro Kawaguchi (Nyan-Koi!, Hunter x Hunter: The Last Mission) with scripts and scenario by Sadayuki Murai (Garo: The Animation, Knights of Sidonia) and adaptation by Marty Isenberg (Transformers: Animated, Ben 10: Omniverse), animation character designs by Tadashi Hiramatsu (Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi, Parasyte ~The Maxim~), music by Kotaro Nakagawa (Code Geass, Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc V) and animation by David Production (Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, DC Nation Shorts).
The series started airing on March 12, 2015 on MBS, TBS and other stations related to MBS, and it was licensed by Dentsu Entertainment USA and Hollowfox Entertainment with co-production by Hasbro Studios and Tokyopop, as an AM-Atomix Original series airing on Toonami in March 14, 2015 with an english dub produced by SDI Media in collaboration with NaruDubs Studios.
